Well,
I have made it to the beloved Friday night and beautifully I have Monday off here in the States because of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. It has just been one of those weeks where I have been tired and sick and I feel like everyday at work, despite a relatively nice week with the students, that I was always scratching to keep up, or respond to a situation, or get planned. We also had a lot of weird paper stuff in the evenings to do with our car and yes, now studying to take our Indiana learners test. Because our BC licenses are expiring we need to get Indiana ones and they insist on taking you back to 14 years old and they have you study and take a test and in 60 days after that, we will have to take a driving test. The biggest thing in studying for this is that I have not fully converted to "feet", "inches", and so forth, so I need too remember that 150 feet in quite different then 150 meters, for example. Oh the joy.
So, as for the title of this blog, I am doing a planets unit with my students which has included a fun project on molding the planets and painting them for a little model. All was going well, we had made it to the painting of Earth, when suddenly an accident prone student accidentally swung his paint brush up and spots of paint landed on another child's Earth which he was holding in his hand. This child looked up and proceeded to fly into a rage which included him yelling, "I am so sick of everybody." He then proceeded to squish his Earth to a pancake with his hands and throw it on the table and storm out.
This is how it feel, of course on a more metaphorical sense and I am glad to have a weekend to chill out and get better.

That student makes me sad, ..... and scared. But hang in there - its a totally new culture, I'm sure - even though it's just our Southern Neighbours.
We're keeping you in our prayers, guys!
