A nice story in my life...So, I received a CD in the mail from my Dad created by KT Tunstall called "Eye in the Telescope." We pop into in the car and immediately Stephen starts singing along. Turns out the CD is in the Barnes and Noble music sequence and he has hear and knows the whole CD. I began to really enjoy the CD as I listen to it every time I am in the car, specially tracks 4 and 10. I then turn on my addicting American Idol this week, and sure enough, my favorite Katherine McPhee starts singing track 4. The song in called black Horse and the Cherry Tree. It is super addicting and Stephen is super sick of it because it in on repeat in the car. Try it or sample it if you have the chance...It is fun. Here is one artist's interpretation of the song!

More in our news
...Stephen is completely done his semester as of 4:30pm this afternooon. I am excited to hang out with him again and see him have a break.
....a chick hatched sometime last night in my classroom incubator. I got there this morning to the sound of peeping and then almost had a heart attack as I could see the broken egg but no chick. All that is going through my head in those pre-caffeine minutes was that the chick had escaped the incubator was somewhere in the room. No worries however, it had simply hid behind the thermometer
...I then proceeded to put the chick in a box with a heat lamp for the rest of the day until it was to be picked up at 3:00pm. The principal went to check on it later in the day and came to find me to find out what the temperature should be in the box. I proceeded to say 90 F confidently and she proceeded top to tell me that it was currently 120 f and that the chick was panting and laying down. Yup, almost cooked it.
....My sister is to be back home tonight from school. I am pumped to talk to her and find out how graduation went!
...the top of a finger was found in a customer's hamburger at our local TGIF restaurant. Stephen loves this burger but we have both agreed that is now in the past tense.
Yeah for the weekend and yeah for 15 more teaching days of this school year!

I totally heard the McPhee rendition of your new song....it is a gooder. I'm very glad you didn't cook the chick even if you do detest birds. (I still chuckle when I think of rounding "hell's corner" as you put it, on our tube ride way back). I am extremely jealous that you are so close to being done school. I am soooo excited for my first summer in a while when I don't have to work.
Amber, that was me that deleted. I had a couple of spelling mistakes that I didn't notice and I don't know how to edit and I don't know why my spelling mistakes bother me, especially in a blog. I need to get over this. Anyways, I exclaimed "15 more days" very loudly at the screen when I read that part. Lucky you! When do you go to Paris? Have you been there before? Marc and I went there for our honeymoon. It was great! Kylie
we have never been to Paris before. We fly to Paris June 10 and return June 25. We are pumped and ready to start planning in more detail. Any suggestions on where to stay?
And by the way, I first posted this blog and to my horror it was riddled with spelling mistakes so I had to repost. I can't spell!
We camped when we were there so I don't really have any hotel suggestions. We did stay in a hotel for one night - it was really expensive and the smallest room I have ever seen. There was a bed (with barely enough room to walk around the sides), a TV mounted on the wall and in the bathroom you couldn't sit down facing forward on the toilet because your knees hit the wall! You will have so much fun in Paris. I'm excited for you! Kylie
