Paris Residence

We have started to plan in earnest our Paris trip as Stephen is done semester work and working primarily on the Paris conference. We got a great tip to look at some furnished short term apartments as a romantic and economical way (cheaper then hotels and it has a kitchen!) to stay in Paris. We have decided on a great one near the Latin Quarters which is artsy but close to the conference location, a metro stop, and minutes from cafes and supermarkets. We have researched the multitudes of museums there and must admit I am excited for the stereotypical ride down the Seine River and kiss on top of the Eiffel tower.

This is a picture of our apartment building from the outside.

The next two are the neighborhoods outside our apartment.

Hi! It will be an honor to be put on your blog site.
It's good to hear from you. Your trip to Paris sounds like it will be such a great time. Watch out for the Louvre- it's going to be crazy post-Da Vinci Code!

I've been reading your blog for a while (since Marc told me about his blog). It's such a great way to keep up to date on everyone's lives (especially when we live all over the world). Speaking of world- we will be moving closer to yours (Stephen, I'm not sure if Jason told you) but we are moving to New York in September. Yaah!
Jason has a job there post-PhD.

Will you stopping in England at all when you come over to Europe? You are most welcome to come visit!

Thanks for the invite Michaelia but we will be staying in France this trip. But we are pumped about the New York news as we hope, perhaps next summer, to do a East USA tour and New York would be a definite stopping point.

And Kylie, we are doing the usual Paris in some ways, museums ( I love art history), boat rides, bike rides in the Park, drinking coffee, taking in the castles, and travelling to remote villages. After I finish teaching we will plan details in earnest!
