I know you said
Can't you just get over it
It turned my whole world around
And I kind of like it
I made my bed and I sleep like a baby
With no regrets and I don't mind sayin'
It's a sad sad story when a mother will teach her
Daughter that she ought to hate a perfect stranger
And how in the world can the words that I said
Send somebody so over the edge
That they'd write me a letter
Sayin' that I better shut up and sing
Or my life will be over

I got the CD the day it came out...and, as always with the dixie chicks, I love it...do you have the CD or just the "Not Ready to Make Nice" single?
I have the whole CD from ITunes and am loving it! I have seen them once in concert and would really like to go again!
so i stole the song from lime wire but its great to belt out too! As well I recommend carrie underwood before he cheats. Terrific!!
Isn't this song about the comments they made about Bush and the war? I love how they get political and hold their opinion.
chryslyn, you can borrow the cd from me and put it on your computer or I'll burn you a copy if you want...totally quality music...let me know. see you in a few minutes! par-TAY!
weird that I left a comment for chyslyn on your blog, amber...when did you see them in concert? I am so jealous! I would love to see them...that would be such a great show.
After reading about this new cd in many places (your blog) Shareen's comments, Vicki's blog I downloaded it from i tunes. I told Marc I was downloading a cd and he said he knew it was the Dixie Chicks. He knew because he had seen all the blog posts about it and that I wouldn't be able to resist. Kylie
We saw the Dixie Chicks in concert in Calgary a few summers ago and it was great! I believe it was for the album Fly.
Chryslyn, it is totally about that comment she made about being embarressed that Bush was from Texas. She had death threats against her in reesponse. Time or Newsweek has a cool article about them right now.
Kylie, you will have to let me know how you like them. Who is Viki on your blog? A Lethbridge connection all?
hey amber,
that was an interesting article on the dixie chicks in time magazine. it was interesting to see the profiles of all the big name musicians who slammed the war. most of them had increases in their sales, but the dixie chicks had their albums run over by tractors. looks like they're changing their demographic.
vicky is cute red haired vicky... stephen knows her.
