Well it has officially arrived...the complete end of summer. Tomorrow I will go back to work. Name tags have been written, school supplies bought, and we are off to another school year. I can't believe that this is considered my fourth year of teaching. I will sound a tad senior-ish, but where has the time gone?
Stephen will start full time next week. This semester he will be taking three courses...perhaps some outside his department and actually in the Biology department to make himself even more marketable afterwards. He will also be leading a discussion group in a fourth class. It has been nice to watch him really relax, speak some German ( he is learning it for the language requirement), and get refreshed for another busy go at it.
I am registered in my class ( Family, Students, and Society) and will start next week as well. At this point I will begin to sound quite nerd-ish, but I am very excited for it to start. It keeps me balanced and pulls me out of the sometime miniscule tasks ( setting up grade books, writing name tags, etc.) that teaching sometimes involves.
Some cool things ahead include partaking in the universities wide array of classes which include yoga and pilates. I want to say that I will also go to the step classes despite the huge intimidating factor that involves. However, I really sweat in them, probably because I am constantly trying to catch up and end up flailing around so much. Jason and Michaelia are coming next week as they move to the big Apple and Stephen will take off for a whirlwind weekend at the start of Sept. for Kevin and Joanna's wedding. Now I want to sound cool-ish by saying good times ahead indeed.

Sounds like you guys have a crazy fall. I can't believe school already starts tomorrow. I haven't had the September anticipation for two years now since I didn't have a job when we moved here and got my job last year at the end of September. You made me miss it! Have a good first day! Kylie
I hope you have a great first day of school with the least amount of crying and chaos possible. (joking) Enjoy that nicely new carpeted and painted room too! I hope your students take notice.
love ya.
First day went well. I am tired but loving my class! (knock on wood)
Can't wait to see you. We leave tomorrow (after breakfast at Tim Horton's). Hope your first few days go well!
