Blog World Just Got A Little More Terrific

So cool. I checked my blog today and a girl that I honestly have not talked for over 5 years has entered a comment. At Capernwray, there was a group of us affectionately called "The Sexy Six." I have great memories with these girls, including a road trip to one of the girl's wedding in California. I have been priviledged to keep in contact loosely with most of the girls except one...and she has just left the comment. Fantastic world this blogging world is. In fact, many of the people that I read blogs are old Capes people. Very cool.

Great weekend with one of our first opera experiences ( Manon, for those interested was its name), a great Pumpkin Festival at my school, and some great relaxation. You have to love those 3 day weekends. I have declared next weekend "Halloweeny" for Stephen and I so we are going to carve pumpkins, go to one of the many haunted houses around here, and eat something pumpkinish. The weather here is definitely brisk and autumn like which will be perfect.

I went kickboxing tonight and tried to take mental notes as I get to start teaching a class to a group of students tomorrow and then every Wednesday for 7 weeks. Do not be too impressed as I will rely heavily on a video to start with. I think it will be quite fun and active. I find it a really good stress reliever and I honestly do feel that stressed. I also started Yoga this week so I am going to be so "one with myself" I won't know what to do.

Only other funny story ( now it is funny, at the time not) was that in Cooking class this week, we made a dip involving marshmallow cream. All was going well until a student remarked that I had marshmallow cream in my hair. I thanked him and reached to grab what I think it a small speck. However I was to find that I am somehow gotten a huge glob of it in my hair. Gross, sticky, and as always, I came out of double cooking class needing a shower.

Isn't it crazy Amber?! I thought I had seen the last of Krista but not so - the sexy six live on! so good.
i AM impressed about the kickboxing in general and the class - you're so fearless. I've fallen into the Hong Kong trap and joined a gym - am jogging and doing yoga - i really like it but it's frickin hard, not what i remember from YMCA lethbridge days...

Wow...kickboxing. I tried it once and well, I'm too damn lazy to stick with it. Yoga is more my thing. I love it and am getting to be quite bendy. There is something crazy about the desire to be able to put my feet behind my head that drives me on.

It is so crazy to go through the Caps yearbook and think of where everyone has ended up.

Hey mate... I just started a kickboxing class lately too. It's so fun! I love wrapping my hands up and putting the gloves on... makes me feel so professional!

That's so cool that blogging has brought you guys back together. There were 5 of us at Briercrest that were tight, but only 3 of us have remained in close contact. You've inspired me to rekindle those other two friendships...:)

Good luck with yoga!

You must have felt like a grease ball after the marshmellow incident. Very funny though. How the heck do you figure it got there?
