It is my Dad's birthday today and I wanted to send out a post of love and gratitude to him. The older I get, the more I realized how blessed I am to have the relationship I do with my parents. I am excited to call home, excited to go home, and miss being home because of them. I especially miss home on days like this when we miss celebrations.
My Dad has been a constant source of love and support in my life. We share a love of coffee which is the joining link of some of my favorite times with my Dad...Meeting him for coffee or picking up a coffee on the way to do something. My Dad is a great example of a hard working, life long learner who never is too busy for his kids. One of the greatest acts of love that he could and continues to do is the love and acceptance that he has always shown to Stephen.
So Dad, I am toasting the coffee that I am drinking right now to you and thank you for the role you have in my life.
Happy Birthday! Can't wait to see you at Christmas!
