A few thoughts:
1) I really enjoy hanging out with Stephen. In fact, it is so natural and completely part of my life that I am taken off guard by the whole in my life when he is not here (gone to Duke for a conference this weekend). I am definitely missing him.
2) I miss being home with family over holidays.
3) I am getting geared up for our Alison Krauss weekend in two weeks. My Dad emailed me today and said he saw her interviewed and they talked about her song " When You Say Nothing At All." Alison stated it was a simple love song but as it grew in popularity, she begun to receive a lot of fan mail from parents with children who were autistic. It really makes you look at the song a bit differently....
It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart
Without saying a word you can light up the dark
Try as I may I could never explain
What I hear when you don't say a thing
The smile on your face lets me know that you need me
There's a truth in your eyes sayin' you'll never leave me
The touch of your hand says you'll catch me if ever I fall
You say it best when you say nothing at all
All day long I can hear people talking out loud
But when you hold me near, you drown out the crowd
Old Mr. Webster could never define
What's being said between your heart and mine
I watched a Larry King last weekend on autism and the stats are that 1 out of 166 children are diagnoses of autism right now....they predict more children will receive this diagnosis this year then the diagnosis of aids, cancer, and diabetes in the States. autismspeaks.org is a good site to check out.
4) I watched the movie the Break-Up with Vince and Jennifer and much to the horror of some I am sure, it has just reinforced my allegiance to the Angelina team.
5) I have been listening to the Madeline Peyroux, Half the Perfect World, a lot lately and loving it.
6) I should update my blog links to reflect the ones I really read....and to this point secretly go to through other blogs. Hmmm...
7) I am trying a new Rachel Ray recipe tonight...and timing to see if I can do it in 30 minutes. And tomorrow, after church, I am heading to my new favorite place The Noodle Co. for my Easter meal. I love the food there.
8) I feel content, blessed, healthy, cared for, and relaxed. Happy Easter everyone!

Loved this entry. I wish I could hang out with you right now with Stephen gone and everything. Have you decorated your easter eggs yet?
I still am team Jennifer!
I have got the ggs and everything ready...I am planning to do them today and I will take a picture and post it.
As I talked to family on the phone, everyone has seen you already, so weird to think that you are there. Hope that you have a good time with the family. Thanks for delivering Darecen's B-day gift. He was wearing it yesterday.
Happy Easter Amber (and Stephen).
I think that song is more beautiful when it is put into the context of children with autism. Thanks for sharing.
hey Amber...
Am curious about your allegiance to team angelina? Why did the break up re-enforce this?
