Rent

Last night, I went to Rent, the musical, all by myself. I got a last minute cheap ticket and decided to just go for it. The show as sold out and was fantastic. The guy who played Roger had an amazing voice and the soundtrack, as expected was fantastic.

I first watched the movie when Allison was here and she sent me the CD for it afterwards. Since then, I have listened to it repeatedly and so I found myself singing along and loving songs like "Will You Light My Candle," "I Should Tell You", and "Take Me For What I Am."I decided midway into the show that someday I will live in New York for a stint and go to real Broadway shows.

I am reliving this moment now as I sit in front of the computer and write a very boring paper. It is one of those assignments that there is no way that you can really "spark" it with creativity as you are simply summarizing. The saving grace of this moment...I am done writing a huge grant that has been successfully sent off and I am listening to the new Alison Krauss CD.
