Support of Aquafit

Well, I have just completed my "nuts" day which includes teaching a full day and then going to a two and a half hour class on transitional planning. Then to top it all off we took in an Aquafit class. Now, I know that Aquafit gets a bad "rap", I mean the clientele is often older women who are trying to get a bit more active or pregnant women. I also agree that if you don't put your heart into it that it can be easy and not really "exercise."

However, I would like to go on the record to say that I enjoy it and actually feel my abs as I type. There is something about getting into a pool, splashing around, and laughing away that I really enjoy and will keep bringing me back to it. And I would say that if you follow the directions to make it "tougher" then you can get a pretty good little exercise out of it. Today was especially funny because one specific exercise was actually to fling your today madly around. Can you get this fun anywhere else I ask you? Let me hear your pros and cons of the sport.

**Please note how many times I put words in quotation marks. How can you argue with the quality of writing?**

**Another thought, is Aquafit spelled this way or with a hypen or two seperate words? Perhaps the F is capital?**

deep questions... keep asking.
Well thoughts on aquafit. I thought i loved it and even bought a ten punch card and became a regular attender. Then aquaboxing happened and i don't think a group of people looked quite as ridiculous as our instructor was trying to make us do upper cuts under water. Like you can't even beat anyone up under water. Just useless :)

love the comments about aquafit! It just brings me back to my lifeguarding days when I had to stand on deck for an hour and make stuff up that looked like exercise (some of which I myself had never tried under water). I'm glad you enjoyed it Amber - I'm sure your instructor was much better (and took a class or something). Chryslyn, was the uppercut experience at a Lethbridge Pool?

funny! I used to do aquajog/fit. Its a good workout if you make it one. And its pretty tough to hurt yourself doing it.

unfortunatley yes Janessa. I had to perform aquaboxing cleaverly disguised as aquafit at nicholas sheran... i don' go there anymore :)

I start my aquafit class in just a few weeks. I get to go 2x a week for two months. I'm excited! I love aqua fit. IT's challenging if you push yourself.
