Rollerblading

We have found a rollerblade trail at last that extends 5 miles and the city hopes to expand it which is great! We have gone three out of the last four evenings and are starting to know people which is funny. We were even looking at the neighborhood and were happy with it...and then we snapped out of that and realized we can drive the seven minutes and not actually relocate to rollerblade.

As some of you know, one of the things that we are really excited for about Paris in the rollerblading culture. There is even this intense "Friday Night Fever" where numerous websites post that anywhere from 5,00 to 15, 000 people ( depending on season) rollerblade from 10:00pm to 1:00am every Friday night. It is patrolled by police and started as a way to get people more active. It has obviously really taken off. We are packing the blades anyways because we are coming to realize through rollerblading maps of Paris that we can rollerblade around the city if we want to, and it is weather permitting. Seriously, the city is becoming my dream come true...romance, art, history, wine and cheese, and rollerblading!

I just looked at the pictures posted and I really enjoyed the mix of pictures as they range from the beautiful outdoors to my amazing speedy skiild :) to the cheesy hand hold.

At first when I heard you were bringing your rollarblades to Paris, my first thought was that it sounded a bit geeky and out of place, but I gues I'M the one who's not up with modern Paris culture.
