Paul Klee - Artist I Liked At The Art Institute In Chicago

Around some deep dish Chicago pizza after going to the Art Institute, we all said what are favorite art had been. I really enjoyed some of the more popular art liked I already posted below because I knew something about it. However, I remembered this picture of a stick girl on a peachy background that I had enjoyed and talked to a man about. I looked up the painting today and discovered a true Swiss abstract painter that I really enjoy.

Paul Klee started off more as an impressionist and later joined more of an abstract movement. He was denounced by the Nazi's and lost his teaching job during the war because of his art. In fact, his work was called " the work of a sick mind." (Disclaimer: I am new at this artist so I have not discovered sexual connotations in his work, however with art, never say never.)

This is what I thought about today while I was at school getting ready for students and teaching. Below are a few favorites I have found. The top two were at the Art Institute. Simple but meaningful.
