Paul Klee started off more as an impressionist and later joined more of an abstract movement. He was denounced by the Nazi's and lost his teaching job during the war because of his art. In fact, his work was called " the work of a sick mind." (Disclaimer: I am new at this artist so I have not discovered sexual connotations in his work, however with art, never say never.)
This is what I thought about today while I was at school getting ready for students and teaching. Below are a few favorites I have found. The top two were at the Art Institute. Simple but meaningful.

I am glad that you like it. I thought they had a much better selection this time.
Glad you posted your favorites, because I couldn't picture the first one during pizza.
Sometimes I wish I were an artist. I try, but I just can't seem to draw/paint anything good. Maybe I should try this abstract business. Seems much more up my alley! How are you guys doing? I talked to Susan and Darcen this weekend and it just made me happy becuase I miss them so much!!
