One great thing that happened this week was that my brother Darcen landed himself a amazing job opportunity. He is very talented at interviewing and paired with great past experiences, was able to entice a job offer out of a great organization even quicker then they thought they could give Darcen the okay. As I have already told him, we were not surprised at his ability to find a great job, just perhaps at how quick it happened. Now we just need to get the webcam going so we can be more in touch. I am excited to hear how my sister-in-law Susan will do with her first week in the school of Ed. It is exciting to have another teacher in our family to do the "teacher talk" with. It is cool to see things working out for them. Allison, my sister is going up to spend the long weekend and we wish we were partying with them.
Stephen is off to Kevin and Joanna's wedding this weekend. I wish could attend as well but it is not possible. They are a great couple and it will be cool to hear how their creative juices formed their wedding. Here's to them having a beautiful day and start to life together.
It makes me miss home a bit to think that Stephen will be there this weekend. We are fortunate to have such great siblings and it would be fun to hang out and hear about Chryslyn's trip to coast, Sheldon's adventures at Eastman, and walk with Al through U of L before the big start day. Should I start the countdown to Christmas...
Kidding aside, I am excited about my class. The first one was last night and I had a good impression of the prof, knew some people also taking the class, and felt the assignments were quite manageable. Stephen started as well and it is shaping up to be one of the semesters that he is most excited about but also that will keep him hopping. He is actually at the school for most of the day, every day, through out the week. And between taking two History and Philosophy classes, a Biology class, and assisting in teaching a beginning History and Philosophy class, he will busy but also content. He loves what he does.

Tomorrow I go bowling with the school. I have a great class to teach and I am right into a worms unit which is going great. They better be prepared for my dynamic bowling skills however.
