To my Mom,
We were wishing we were eating Chinese food today and celebrating with you. I have posted the picture of you hiking Crypt Lake as an example of how amazing you are. You are a wonderful teacher to both your kids and in your profession, you area great mentor for me, and you are a lot of fun! Thank you for loving us so much and making me know I can always call. When I think about this summer, I think of our trip to Calgary shopping, I think of how you showed your love to Darcen and Susan so evidently by all the behind the scene things you did, and I think of walking with you in the river bottom and getting a coffee. I loved it. Thanks.
I am looking forward to using the gift we are sending you with you.

Your birthday is coming up in a few days and I wanted to let you know we are thinking about you and hoping you have a great day. I have loved having you as a constant in my life and respect your real-ness and zest for life so much. You challenge me to be open and search for answers. You are brave and beautiful. Thanks for this summer as well...with you listening, dolphin diving at Henderson, and supporting my family so much in the wedding. We love you so much.

What a sweet tribute to your mom and Chryslyn...I agree about how amazing your mom is, and Chryslyn, Darcen and I talk about you frequently about what a good friend you are to both of us.
