Bragging Rights

So I believe I have wifely bragging rights and I am choosing at this time to use them. As some of you know, Stephen is taking a PhD in History and Philosophy of Science (HPS) currently. This year, he has branched out and taken a graduate level course in Biology entitled Evolutionary Theory. He was aware that this was going to be a stretch as he has very little Biology in his background. This course is also loaded with mathematical algebra equations that include spreadsheets and manipulating graphs, etc, which gives the class a reputation for being hard.

This being the case, my husband enrolled in the class and has put endless hours into study sessions, meeting with the prof, and doing assignments. He took a Midterm worth 50% of his grade last week and....today he got the results. Stephen got 100%! Not only that but he beat many of the Bio graduates. Stephen always does well in HPS classes but he is really enjoying this class and Biology compliments his degree really well. It is very affirming to know that he is doing well in it for him and I am proud!

Anyways, we got home after receiving this news to a wonderful Thanksgiving Day package in the mail from my parents. Inside is a Starbucks gift certificate and a book of Impressionist paintings showing picnics. I love Impressionist art and that book reminded me of Paris and the art we saw there. Thanks Mom and Dad! Extremely thoughtful.

And I believe this night can only continue on a good note. I have only one more mark to calculate and then I am done report cards. Pizza Bagels and Gilmore Girls coming up!
