Finished a Paper

I just finished a paper...thirteen pages. Sometimes when I think about it objectivity I can't believe I have thirteen pages of things to say. But I do and it is a good paper. We have had to write weekly journal entries in this class about a family that has a child with a disability of some sort. I felt a tad apprehensive about the project at first but now realize ( and perhaps this is because I have a great family I am working with) that it is important to reflect on a family's perspective. It is also important for me to realize that I am entering the life of a family as a teacher for a very small time compared to the lifetime that they will have together. None the less, thank goodness I am done the paper so I can ready myself for more exciting events like...report cards! Oh well!

Today I was on a field trip to the State Museum and was delighted by a 3D Imax called Bugs. Can't get much cooler then that. I love watching the kids innocently reach for the bugs....I too feel very tempted and continue to freakishly jump when a spider flies at me on the screen.

This weekend we took in the ballet at the university. We have not done a ballet often but we were both mesmorized and relaxed by the different little snipets of ballets that they did from around the world. Perhaps the ballet and a pumpkin pie is how we celebrated Canadian thanksgiving. It's funny as the holiday is barely thought of here. However, talking to family we were a tad sad as everyone on both sides gathered. We are a bit scared from past turkey making experiences ( turn out good but a huge production) but perhaps we will attempt it at the American Thanksgiving or maybe just wait for Christmas.

Off to watch Gilmore Girls...Shareen are you with me?

You two were definitely missed at Thanksgiving! My brother was sad to have missed out on the festivities too.

Darcen and I are already on the path to Christmas celebrations...I was out grocery shopping last night and couldn't resist a litre of eggnog. I love Christmas...we can't wait to see you two in 2 months! :)

oh oh oh, I feel so famous to be mentioned in an actual post! And yes, I have to say my butt was firmly positioned on the couch in time for the Gilmore Girls...I like the whole Christopher thing, but I loved Luke...I wonder what's going to happen with him?

Down with christopher...weasel. I am so for Luke and feel like making some weird claim like if that happenes and sticks and Luke it left out when the series ends that I will forever be bitter.

Powerful stuff, I know.

I know what you mean...I do have a soft spot for Luke too. But...as Sheeren says, "I'm down with the whole Christopher thing"...sorry again Amber.
