First Two Days of Holidays

Loving the holidays so far. I feel relaxed and yet efficient and that is when I do best. I have been reading quite a few blogs and the craze is to do 100 things about yourself and so I am going to try 50.

1) Love being on a week holiday right now
2) Excited because Stephen also does not have to go to school for the rest of the week
3) Really getting into the festive feeling of thanksgiving here
4) Will try to make with Stephen a cool meal of ham or chicken
5) We are both not really into making a turkey form scratched ( a bit gross)
6) We will get our fill at Christmas
7) We will be in Canada for 2 weeks at Christmas...yeah!
8) You really do appreciate and long for people when you are away...we are excited
9) We are going to get up at 5:00am in the morning and shop. It is kind of like Boxing Day in Canada on that day
10) Last year I got great deals at Bath and Body Works
11) We have not started Christmas shopping but we will soon...alot of people start on Friday here
12) On the weekend we are going to put up our Christmas lights outside
13) We are also going to make a tree...I will post pictures
14) We hope to hike a bit in the next few days
15) We don't have a dog to hike with but we really like love our cat Sam
16) I also love Gray's Anatomy right now...suppose to be extra good this Thursday
17) I am totally burned out of Gilmore Girl's with the Christopher story line
18) We have started to experiment with different music from the library lately...listening to Nutcracker to go to sleep
19) We will go to the Nutcracker ballet in a few weekends...tradition
20) I am loving the new Sara M Christmas CD...thanks Dad
21) I really like coffee and Stephen does now too
22) We have bought the Christmas Blend from Starbucks
23) And the Caramel Pecan cream
24) Holidays make me realize how luckily I am to have a job I love
25) Stephen loves what he does too
26) We are really fortunate for this
27) A week break from my course also makes me realize again how much I love school
28) And how much I have learned this semester
29) Families are so important in education
30) More important then I sometimes realize
31) This is my favorite time of year
32) Half Fall/Half Christmas
33) I can't let myself start counting down to the holidays yet or I will obsess about it
34) I really enjoy the blogging world
35) Good way to stay connected and keep in touch with people I might not usually
36) My three "sister" all have blogs which I really like...Allison, Susan ,and Chryslyn
37) I am really lucky to have them

43) May try another kid's series abut cat wars and one called Charlie Bone
44) I switch between kid and adult book reading
45) The Tuesday's With Morrie author has a new book which I want to try
46) I love orange juice in the morning with coffee
47) not mixed
48) I am also going to start reading a kid's book called The Family Under the Bridge with my class. Excellent.
49) This thanksgiving I am so thankful, as always, for good friends
50) And a wonderful family

There is a little bit about me. I don't know if I could do a full 100 so here is a toast to those of you who are. Maybe I'll do another 50 another time.

I'm glad to hear your holidays are going so well! Oh and great work with the list of 50 things...I'm impressed!

Ooo...I wish I could come shopping with you Amber, especially to Bath & Body Works...what a wonderful store. I love walking in just for the smells. Always a good time.

I too am a little burned out of Gilmore Girls...I was just telling Darcen that the other day. So sad...I was such a fan at one point.

Enjoy your holidays!

You are a hardcore B&BW fan!

And enough with the shameless Sarah plugs already!

I just got it (upon your suggestion) and I really like it! Love her rendition of all the songs. Thanks for the tips!
