The drive to find branches. It is a beautiful Fall/Winter day

Our trunk full of branches for all sorts of trees. I should note that the gathering was fun but a bit stressful as we heard many a gunshot go off in the area. It is hunting season...

The finished product. A new kind of Christmas tree.

The Christmas tree in our living room. Thought they looked alittle planned, those Starbuck mugs were really there as we were drinking coffee. We got them for our anniversary...thanks again guys.

Sam wanted one of him with the tree. He loved the whole making of the tree project and has yet to pull it all down which has been surprising but good. Stephen is taking a work break in a few minutes and then we are off to get groceries for our big Thanksgiving feast tomorrow.

Ah! Now I get it. I thought it was a bit funny in your previous post that you said you were going to make a christmas tree instead of get one!
I like it! Very environmentally friendly!
So funny. In your last comment about me liking B&BW I could not figure out what that stood for. All that could come to my mid weirdly was Barbara Walters....I have now figured it out.
Very hip and above me!
You guys are very avante garde!
You guys are so creative! That's so neat...I love it!
How did Bath and Body Works go? So jealous...:)
so funny, I was just on a hike with marc and kylie and they saw a bunch of branches and they said, "hey, you should take these and make a tree like amber!" I hadn't read about it yet so I was picturing this sad excuse for a tree and when Marc showed it to me I said--and I quote--"it's actually not so hideous". Which is totally not what I meant. It's great. Inventive, fun, and beautiful to boot. But...definitely not that hideous. :)
Thanks Shareen,
I got a few "Charlie Brown tree" comments as well.
Our cat pulled down our tree when we were putting it up, and once that night:( But he hasn't done it since! He just knocks off all the decorations.
